* "..you are marked as Christ's own forever. Amen"

Little Helen Grace made her first visit to church at 8 AM on Friday, May 21 to St. Mary the Virgin on the idyllic campus of Nashotah House. On the Orthodox calendar, the day was designated as the Feast of Saints Constantine and Helen.  It was most appropriate that Little Helen should make her debut on this day.  Beautifully dressed in a silk organza gown made from the remnants of her mother's wedding dress, Helen herself looked like the Bride of Heaven.  Indeed, she was ~ for this was her baptismal day. Surrounded by her mama, papa, sister Margaret, godparents, extended family and loved-ones, Helen was received into the community of faith.

A picnic luncheon celebration followed the ceremony.  Guests enjoyed cuisine with a southern flair, as  endeavors to immerse himself in the culture where he may very likely live.  And so, in addition to the watermelon and ice cream cones, we enjoyed "bog".  Of course, darling Margaret was a constant entertainment and joy.  The blessings of our time ended all too quickly.  Below are some pictures of our memorable trip to Wisconsin to enjoy the Canter family.

I have some wonderful video clips of the world through Margaret's eyes.  Blogger is not uploading the clips.  I will work on compressing them and cropping them and will try again later.
